Homes under $200,000 are scarce in Central Vermont now, and the ones that appear are usually small village houses, mobile homes on their own land, or properties that need work. The sound ones sell quickly. This list comes straight from the MLS and shows every agency’s listings in the towns I work, not just mine. If you’re financing, talk to a lender before you look — in this range, the house that’s still for sale after a month usually has a problem a bank won’t lend on, and I can often tell you which one over the phone.
